I found it curious that a 1TB is currently the biggest capacity Bolt +.

I have a 3TB that has been giving me nothing but trouble. Maybe they stopped selling them because other owners were also having problems.

According to Ted, sales fell dramatically once the 1TB cable model was released, and the 3 TB drive they were using has since been discontinued. Nowadays, the largest 2.5" drives designed for DVR use are 2TB.

My Bolts work fine until they don't work at all.

The problem seems to be with the v21 (Hydra) software, too many bugs, can't handle large drives, etc.

Does Hydra equate to Experience 4? If so, I started with experience 3 and have switched back to that version on all my replacement Bolts. Maybe that is part of the problem.

Most Bolt VOX comes running v21/TE4/Hydra, for the VOX feature.
