Doctor Who on BBCAmerica- Has the December 2010 special aired yet?
I lost touch with the Doctor when SyFy ended its run of season four. I'm catching up, but the episodes I can get off BBCA go directly from the season five finale into season six's opener.
No Dec. 2010 special, which I assume is part of the storyline. I'm hesitant to go into season six without seeing it.
Did BBCA even air it yet? If not, any idea when it will air?

I'm pretty sure it was replayed before the premiere also.

I don't actually think it's essential to watch it, if you can't get it. There wasn't any carryover plot from that special into this season that I can recall.
It was nice but I don't remember much about it.
It was ok. It was totally self contained and had nothing to do with any other story arc going on.

But as other's stated, nothing in the special is part of either season's arc, so you won't miss anything by watching season 6 now and picking up the Christmas special later.
If you have Comcast cable, check the On Demand section for Doctor Who.
Look in a variety of categories. Our Comcast doesn't have the Popular UK Series category mentioned below...but I guess it exists somewhere.

Sadly, I don't have high speed, so getting it online isn't an option. Cable? As mentioned, my access to BBCA offerings jump from the end of the 2010 season to the opener of the current season.It's available from Amazon if you want to see it, but yes it has aired. I still haven't seen the Tennant specials yet. Now here's another one I may need to actually buy on DVD.
