Do I need a Slingbox or is there another way?

I have a S3 and I would like to stream content from my S3 wirelessly to my pc (which has a projector connected.) I don't need to view my Tivo outside the home, just in the other room, in full HD. I want to have the maximum resolution available streaming to my pc.

Do I need a Slingbox HD? Is there another way to get the content from the Tivo to be viewed on my pc?

The Slingbox works great with my PC, through my wireless network.

Is the content copy protected? Wireless is not a good choice.

If the content is not copy protected, there are a number of different ways.

Yes, but it's not *streaming*. You can use Tivo's tools (only available for Windows) or third party products like kmttg to *download* shows from the Tivo to your computer.. and watch after the download is finished.
Does kmttg still work if the content has the protected flag set?

Not on an un-modified TiVo, no. Not on any Premier.
