I can get it to work fine but can't seem to get the Tivo to change the channel on the VIP222. I researched and saw a suggestion to use code 10001A but it doesn't work for me.You can use any series 1 or series 2 TiVo to record from a VIP222 you would set it up the same way you would for any other satellite or cable set top box (STP). The Series 3 or TiVo HD do not work with STPs so they will not work with a VIP222.

dish receivers know 16 remote addresses, the tivo code is only for dish receivers set to unit/address #1. if its set to one of the other 15 addresses it won't work.I can get it to work fine but can't seem to get the Tivo to change the channel on the VIP222.
