Hi. I'm wondering if I'm able to run the second cable that Direct TV requires (for recording one program while watching another) to the room where my Series 2 Tivo is - will I be able to connect the my Tivo for use with Direct TV?

Does anyone know how I would connect the cables? In what order and to what devices? I have the Direct TV Receiver, the Tivo, and my Home Stereo Receiver.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

With satellite to record one program while watching another live program you either need 2 satellite receivers or a dual tuner satellite receiver. I don't think the Direct receivers are dual tuner (but I am not sure) so I think you need another receiver.

Not sure if I answered your question if not ask it again with more detail.

Good Luck,

The Standard Directv Receivers are Single tuner not Dual Tuner. So you only need One Cable run to it.

If you have a Dual Tuner unit, that all Directv DVR units and Directv/Tivo units are, then you need 2 Cable runs.

The Correct order is: Directv Receiver - Tivo - Home Stereo Receiver - TV.
