Just upgraded to HD DirectTV (receiver model H20) and I have an older DirecTV Tivo DVR (Hughes SD DVR120) that is not HD compatible.

Problem is that I don't have a coaxial coming out of the HD DirecTV receiver. The only input for the TIVO DVR is coaxial.

The audio store told me to split the signal from the satellite before it gets to the receiver and go directly into the DVR.

Will this work?

Can I solve this problem? Thanks

You can't split a satellite signal. The SD DTiVo accepts a satellite signal only - not any kind of video output from some other box.

Read this thread about multiswitches, though I think what you really need is another line or two run from the dish.
