No thread yet?

I saw this episode a few months ago-but tonight was the first time I watched it with my wife-I loved seeing her reaction to the unearthing of the bodies.

This is grade A, top class television.

I love dexter, but the first season tended to drag on a bit towards the middle / end. The first 2 episodes that were leaked have me VERY interested this season.

TV +1
Starts off well. We re-upped Showtime explicitly for this show.

I actually said "wow, I don't think Dex has enough tape on that guy!" when he was putting him on the board. That guy was HUGE! I liked how they put Doakes next to him, so you could see just how big he really was (Doakes is no shrinking violet himself).

I couldn't believe that shot of the ocean floor as the scuba guys were swimming away... it's a good thing Dex lives in Miami where, apparently, there are plenty of total scumbags that need to be taken care of--wow!

I'm glad they got rid of Paul; I wasn't happy to think that plot might resurface if he managed to get out of jail again. But, it's a great way to move the story forward.
This is most definately going to be an interesting season. What's gonna happen when they identify all these bodies. Will the cops realize they're all scumbags who pretty much deserved to die and then not really be interested too much in investigating the crimes? I can't wait to see where the show goes this season.
I like how in 5 minutes Dexters life went from as normal as it could be to

1.) Girlfriend questioning him with Paul. (the shoe)
2.) His bodies being found.
3.) He let his 1st victim get away.

Damn.

The only issue I have is we all know he can't get caught. Otherwise it would be the end of the show. So the outcome is a little obvious unlike season 1 where it had a nice twist.
His girlfriend found the shoe last season and already suspected he did something to protect her. All that happened in this episode is that she more or less let him know that she knew.
I saw this episode on the Showtime free weekend. I may have to get Showtime just to watch this show.

Damn you, Dexter!

True. But his girlfriend kind of confronting him about it just adds to his "issues" :)

I did it last year and will do it again this year. Totally worth it.

I loved the beginning, but it is somewhat difficult for me to buy into the fact that Dexter has a real chance of getting caught or seriously hurt. I'm totally invested into what's going to happen, but it is impossible for them to make me believe Dexter is any sort of trouble. That certainly makes their job difficult this season with the finding of those bodies and the search for their killer the main mystery for this season.
good start to a very promising season. love this show.
I'm so glad Dexter is back. Great start to the season. Last year I switched from HBO to Showtime specifically for Dexter, and I don't regret making that move at all. I loved the allusion to Frankenstein in this episode.

Oh, and kudos to the show for such a wonderful opening montage (the same as it has been since Episode 2 of Season 1). I never see anyone mention anything about it, but I think it's fantastic.
Yeah, Dexter is pretty much the sole reason we fired HBO and upped Showtime instead. Well, that and Weeds, Californication and some other stuff. Yeah, I can probably get it from...uh, "the other iTunes Store", but I just got a DVD recorder, so between that and the DirecTivo it's worth not going through the hassle.

Gonna miss "Inside the NFL" from HBO, but oh well. We only go for one premium (okay, and one sports sub, but only during college football season) at a time. I can get the guys picks from their website, and possibly from the uh, "other iTunes store."
