They really force-fed the whole Dylan's-not-the-original-Dylan thread. I was pretty sure that was where it was headed about the 4th or 5th time it was pointed out Dylan didn't remember something. They really didn't need to do it 20 or 30 times plus have her mention her mom getting mad at the idea of seeing a shrink, et. al.

Otherwise a reasonably fun season premiere.

Damn you, ABC. Missed the last minute or so, just after "Cap'n Mal" says "Is this the room?"

If you watched the episode, you'd know. If you watched the episode and don't know... :p

They made this point so obvious, I am wondering if they're going to go for something really out there -- maybe Dylan is a robot, built to look like a girl and programmed with some of the original girl's memories. Like Small Wonder, just a little older. That would be different.

Edit to add: glad to see Nathan Fillion back on TV.

True, they beat it into us that something is odd about the girl, but this show's not science-fictional enough to introduce a robot. My take on it is, she witnessed something seriously traumatic that blocked off her early childhood memories, and we're being rather ham-handedly led to believe that it involved her father molesting her and her mother then killing her father.

But that's SO obvious that it's probably a setup to steer us away from the actual cause. Then again, maybe not - this ain't the most subtle show in TVLand.

Time will tell...

I was thinking more along the lines that maybe the couple's baby died in that room and then they kidnapped Dylan from somewhere to replace their baby. That's why she doesn't have memories of the place and she also remembers a man coming into her room.

It seems to me like that's what we're supposed to think, and therefore it can't possibly be the real explanation. I sure hope this "mystery" plays out better than last season's Alfre Woodard suckfest.
But another Kidnapped baby on this show? Didn't that play out the 1st 2 seasons?
Shouldn't this show be named "Mysteria Lane"?
I loved how they all agreed they would have no more secrets, while Brie kept her fake pregnancy a secret and Michael Jackson kept her real pregnancy a secret, and Mrs. Parker kept her affair with Carlos a secret. :)

I agree about the force-feeding of that "mystery." I, too, thought it was a death kidnapping.

Dana Delaney was nice and evil in that roll. I loved how she called the other women "newcomers" to Wisteria Lane. :)

Her evilness makes me think death and kidnapping, but didn't we already do something similar, with Mary Alice?

Also an amusing moment is when the gyn was doing the exam and said, "It's nice to put a face to a name" as he ducked under the sheet. lol.
Dylan died, and they kidnapped a replacement Dylan, who is really Zach's sister and Mike's daughter.
The real Dylan is with her father, and mom really wanted another child to replace her. :D

Ann - Michael Jackson?

Teri Hatcher. I can see the resemblance. :)
