About two years ago almost all TV channels in Mexico changed their virtual channel numbers to match those in Mexico City. This is not a bad idea actually as virtual channel numbers usually are just the old analog assignment in the US. It would be as if all CBS stations were 2-1, all NBCs on 4-1 and all ABCs on 7-1 as they are in New York and LA.
In my El Paso channel list, Tivo has reflected the change for most of the channels however they did not remove the old channel designations either. This simply makes the list very long and cumbersome to navigate. Of course, I have unchecked the old information but I would like to have Tivo clear out the list of this excess data but am unsure on how to approach the task. The on-line report is not really set up for this situation nor so many issues at once. There is no way I am going to try to explain this to some customer representative whom I can barely understand at best.
I would prefer to compile a list and send in a written paper letter. Does any member know of a pertinent address and company employee to deal with this matter?
