And I know not everyone here liked John from Cincinnati but you got to at least respect the writing and what he was trying to do. Well Milch has some other shows in the works for HBO and I think he teams well with that network:

JFC, what an absolute piece of garbage. I probably wouldn't have hated the thing so much if it didn't cause the end of the best show on television.

First Carnivale and now Deadwood. HBO is finished. They haven't had a excellent new show since Deadwood.

I am a bit annoyed at this point to be honest.... Its not like he did Deadwood for 8 or 9 seasons.

He did what 39 episodes and then had to go do something else?

He had to know the new show better be something super special to pull that over the audience... Clearly it was all his ego.

I will not invest myself in his new show either... it better get the best reviews of any show ever before I bother with it.

I'm going back and watching the first few seasons of NYPD Blue to get my Milch fix. My dad's been watching them on TV and says yes, they are even better than you remember.

+1. I watched JFC purely on the strength of his work with Deadwood. And stuck with it because of the Deadwood goodwill he built up. And while I mildly enjoyed JFC, it did nothing to endear me to Milch for future projects.

Confuse the s%#t out of us with his retarded dialect that he used on NYPD Blue for a season or two and the last season of Deadwood. Sorry, but the guy's writing just annoyed me because no one talks like he writes. His writing is like a hybrid of Shakespeare and Ebonics.

He is REALLY moving in the wrong direction.

I watched JFC, but I didn't get it at ALL. I kept waiting to understand it, but never did. I didn't like any of the characters, they never resolved or explained ANYTHING, it was just annoying.
