Dark S3E01 "Deja-Vu" (spoilers)

General observations in point form:
- alt-Martha from S2 finale is actually future-alt-Martha; she drops Jonas off, them he finds the present-time akt- Martha in school
- the Nielsens live in the Kahnwald house (and vice versa?)
- Ulrich left Katarina for pregnant Hannah but still can't say "I love you", plus he's cheating on her with Charlotte (but Hannah suspects Katarina)
- Ulrich is the chief of police
- Woller has both eyes but missing his left arm (and probably knows about Ulrich/Charlotte)
- Erik is still missing but not he has a brother, Killian, was involved with Martha
- Helge's ear is fine but it's his left eye now that's gone
- Charlotte has a past with Aleksander
- Jonas is a little slow figuring things out
- Franziska is mute instead of her sister (who has aged visibly, desire the text that we've gone back to 2019)
- Regina has died earlier in the year
- Bartosz looks like he's pinning for someone, but is it Martha or Killian?
- Mikkel is not with Scooby and the gang as they go late at night to explore the cave, looking for clues as to Erik's disappearance the police may have missed; yes, middle of the night
- who was that, covered in the black goo that Martha saw in the forest? I couldn't tell
- soJso "Stranger" Jonas went to 1888 (is he calling himself Tannhaus or just renting space at the Tannhaus factory?); guess he does become Adam after all

Biggest question I have is about Stranger Jonas in 1888 still not figuring out that Martha is from another world. His younger self had spent time in the other world and clearly knows that "bangs" Martha is from the other world. Yet "Stranger" Jonas stresses to be completely clueless!

She's present-alt-Martha; it's near-past-alt-Martha who's in school. That's the alt-Martha from the time when the whole series began.
Yeah, you'd think with all his experience he'd be a little less...dense?
Who is the three-in-one guy who keeps wreaking havoc across time?
I wish there was a clear way to tell the two worlds apart. When the Triplets (the boy, man and old man who are clearly the same person with the split lip) burn up Adam's HQ I assume it's the original world. When they show up at Bernd's place and kill him I assume it's still the original world, but, really, there's nothing to tell for sure.
What I meant was that the Martha we saw at the end of S2 is a slightly future version we see now in school. She had not yet meet Jonas.

Right, but she's from the present (i.e., 2020). The other one is in the past (2019).
[edit] To clarify, it seems to me that we are seeing alt-Martha in two parts of her timeline. Present-alt-Martha is the one who came over to the original world, collected Jonah, dumped him in alt-2019, then went back to 1889 to meet Stranger-Jonah. Past-alt-Martha is the one at school, and presumably her arc this season will be to become present-alt-Martha.
And now I'm off to watch Episode 2, so I'm done with this thread (at least for posting)!

Amazing how this episode threaded together people's actions from the other universe.
Martha taking Jonas central role in alt-universe is amazing.
I suspect Ines moved out, and rented the house to the Nielsens after Urich left.
So well done! But I can't understand why 1888 Jonas is so clueless.

You'll see some other things shift from one side to the other
I was thinking the same thing. Then I realized that I was assuming there were only 2 alt-worlds.
Found a Deep podcast - Digesting DARK. They are doing one episode per day, though, so only E01 today. Quote thorough, but I don't agree with everything the notice. For example, they keep thinking that they're are small changes being done - that's how they explain Stranger Jonas not knowing alt Martha. They also keep mispronouncing names (Tannenhaus instead of Tannhaus, etc.)
