Well, actually there may be...You can try pricematching amazon.com to your local Circuit City or Best Buy. Then use 10% or 12% (rewards card) coupon at Best Buy bringing the price down to approx $225+tx. Alternatively, use $40 off purchase over $199 at Circuit City bringing price down to approx $210+tx after pricematch. All depends on your local store pricematching policies.

How 'bout now? Best deal I can find is Circuit City, for $269. With a resolution in sight (sorta) for the SDV channels, I can temporarily sacrifice ESPN2HD. Wife is getting frustrated with our newest cable company HD-DVR, so it's time for me to put the full-court Holiday press on her to agree to a TiVo HD.

If I have the best deal in hand, that'll maximize my chances of convincing her. TIA!!

My local Costco is offering the THD for its usual $279.99 minus a $30 "Manufacturer Instant Rebate" for an actual out the door cost of $249.99 + local sales tax.

Amazon charges the same without sales tax (at least in CA) but the advantage of Costco is a much more generous return policy.
