I was expecting him to lift the lid and find someone's severed head!

As for the bees, apparently Grissom will be spending the season investigating the worrisome Colony Collapse Disorder, in which bees apparently wander away from their hive and never return. It's causing a dramatic decline in bees (first in Europe and now in the U.S.) and if it continues, it could have a huge economic impact, because one-third of our agriculture depends on pollinating bees.

While Sarah's assertion that "If all the bees disappeared, the human race would follow in four years" *might* be hyperbole, Grissom's dismissal of the idea is wrongheaded. Life as we know it certainly would be changed radically.

There is quite a difference between the human race being changed radically and disappearing.

Can someone 'splain to me something. The girl is in the hospital and Catherine asked her the name of her school. The girl says Jefferson. Catherine says she's never heard of Jefferson High. The girl then says Jefferson MIDDLE SCHOOL. What difference did it make?

It appeared to me that the team didn't have the girl's vital statistics and Katherine thought she was as old as she looked (remember how she was dressed when she got out of the car?) and assumed she was in high school.

It was after the girl said she was in Middle School that Katherine asked how old she was. 12!

Of course the actress was 17, which might be why she didn't look much like a 12 year old.
