I am looking at replacing the Motorola dvr with a TivoHD and wnted to know what the total costs would be of the digital service and the cable card install and CC monthly fee?

They seem to fluctuate on the CC installs. When I got my S3 a year ago they charged $75 and tried to charge me that for each card.
Just about a month ago I got the THD and had 2 more cards installed. This install was only $30. Although they did try to charge me twice again. Make sure you argue the install if they try to hit you with two install charges.
Also if you call and they tell you a different higher number tell them you'll think about it and then call back later to talk to someone else. I had 3 different amounts when I scheduled the THD install. I thought $30 was fair so I took that one.

The cable cards are like $1.89 each.

I have all three tiers an digital service, not movie channels like HBO, but I get the encore stuff with the movie tier. I don't know the exact cost for this right now since we have phone and internet and get the rebates.
With 4 cable cards and 2 box rentals and phone, internet and cable we pay about $150.

yes and you would be loosing the PPV and on demand only for right now

Cap can you check and see what price you are charged for the digital cable channels please? Do you pay the $14.45 for the 3 tiers plus cable cards, or you also charged an additional programing fee for the 2nd cable card.

They say the cards are $1.99 a month plus $30.00 install fee per card.
I am just trying to get the prices to see what the price difference would be if we traded our cox dvr for 2 cable cards.

They're all a bunch of loonies.

Call and talk to the guys in the tech dept. They can check with the manager and see that it is only one install fee per device no matter how many cards go in it.

As for the package, we have the total choice one, but I took the money off rather than a movie channel. The encore channels show a good mixture anyway.
