Cox “Upgrade” to MPEG4

I just received a letter from Cox, telling me that they are upgrading their system and my Tivo/cablecard won’t work anymore unless I upgrade it to MPEG4.

Is the Roamio DVR capable of MPEG4?

Thanks krkaufman! I don’t think that that thread has the answer to my problem, but at least I now know where to go, to engage in the confusion.

Yes, it does. You may need a tuning adapter.

This question *is* answered in the other thread (i.e. "Yes"), but what matters isn't this generic question but what TiVo boxes support whatever Cox's MPEG4 solution is. For that, the other thread indicates a test channel should be available to Cox customers to determine compatibility.

yes it is cox user in omaha with roamio
