If the first episode is a barometer - than maybe Heather Graham and Jenna Elfman can go get drunk together and drown their sorrows.......

I think I had one mild guffaw and a slight chortle during the whole episode....

It felt like they were at least trying to introduce an episode spaning story arc right away. In fact, it looked a little like How I Met Your Mother (even based on the title alone), just a little less funny.

Still it wasn't half bad, and I'm sticking around for a few eps at least.

I watched it - and we enjoyed it for the most part. I can't not look at Josh Randall and think that he's Dr. Mike Burton (from Ed)... :) I hope it lasts longer than Heather Graham's show.

It just kind of... ended. I was hoping for a funny resolution or something.

I thought the show was just OK. Dabney Coleman and the British guy were the highlights for me.

Ehhh, it amused me. I'll keep watching. Of course I have an slightly disturbing obsession with Jenna Elfman so maybe that has something to do with it.

Did anyone else get a sort of reverse "Dharma and Greg" vibe from it? With Jenna becoming the very repressed structured over working lawyer type (i.e. Greg) and the other guy being the totally free spirit type (i.e. Dharma)?

I liked the British guy too, he had the funniest lines.

I miss Buffalo Bill.

Seconded on Coleman stealing the show. He got great lines and made the best of them.

Also seconded on missing Buffalo Bill. Another show ended way before it's time.

Yes, my wife and I had the same thoughts!

I think we'll be keeping this one for a while and see how it goes.

Local affiliate failed to turn on the center channel for the first half of the show. All we could hear was background noise, intro music, and canned laughter. (This happened once before with Desperate Housewives) Maybe in this case it was a blessing.

Forget about the show itself, which is awful. I want to talk about the sets. The apartment is clearly the Mad About You set and the office is clearly the Drew Carey set. Barely changed either of them. As entertaining as it was to notice that, I don't think it can hold my interest for another episode.

Really? That's odd, since it's not like either of those two sets would just be sitting there waiting to be used all these years (in the case of MAY, a very long time). They almost certainly would have been struck soon after the productions wrapped.

So if that's true, then it means someone built new sets from old plans. :)

I'm going to have to watch this show now to see that.

She was so funny as Dharma. I hope she has a chance to shine in this show. Is it just me, or did she lose a lot of weight since playing Dharma? She looks scrawny to me, but she's also, what, 10 years older?

The sets are nothing alike. The main room of the aparment set is too small to have been the MAY set. Plus the MAY set had 2 doors on the right and one on the left. This set has one on the left and 2 on the right.

And the only thing that the office set had in common with the Drew Carey set was cube farm on left, office on right. Alex's office is much larger then the one in Drew Carey and the cube farm is much smaller. The secretary's desk outside takes up much of the space while on Drew Carey, there was room for Drew's cube between Mimi's desk and the watercooler.
