Apparently, you did not process the video files. If you use Windows, You could run VideoReDo and do QuickStreamFix. It fixes time glitches. I use it for every show I had downloaded with KMTTG, as well as DVD video.
Yeah it's something to do with the trasport stream muxer. If you use VideoReDo to convert the file to TS first it works perfectly. We use a lot of ffmpeg stuff in VRD but their transport stream muxer is pretty sh*tty.Herron Scott - MP4 and MKV formats that were created with Cyberlink - same software I have always used. So this issue is when they are transcoded to TiVo.
eherberg - I will try to find an earlier version but I did update when I installed PyTiVo desktop.
Good tip. I'll try it later.I had a problem similar to this where the duration on the transferred file to the Tivo came out wrong on the Tivo and FF & Rewind did not work as expected.
My workaround was in pyTivo desktop to change under the Settings->Upload tab, Send files as transport streams to Off. This forced the file to be transcoded which made the Tivo happy again.
Transcoding requires more overhead on the Computer side, and may take longer to get the file onto the Tivo, but in my case, having Tivo trickplay functions available is worth the overhead.Good tip. I'll try it later.
Are there any negative side effects to changing that option?
