Converted series 2 to lifetime - now no picture

I converted my old Series 2 to a lifetime since I just upgraded to a premiere but still wanted to be able transfer shows and watch them on the series 2.

I do not have cable tv hooked up as this room doesn't have it. It is connected to my LAN via wireless adapter.

I connected the composite cables from TIVO out to my TV in. Nothing but snow. I changed the channel from 3 to 4 and retried. Nothing.

When I go to my premiere tivo, it can see the old tivo and the shows on it.

Why can't I get a picture on my tv?

Really? I hope you got a $99 offer.

Um- I think you need to change the TV input to composite- it does not show up on ch 3/4 like a vcr.

Also, you understand that the S2 will not be able to receive any HD files from the Premiere. Only SD content.

Composite is the yellow plugs.

Your TV has to be told to switch to that input.

The Channel 3/4 switch on the back of the TiVo affects the signal on the co-ax connection on the bottom thing on the tuner below the top one where the cable plugs in.

It's for feeding into a television's tuner input where the cable usually goes in case that's the only input the TV has.

I've encountered one TiVo where it output a channel 3 signal regardless of which position that switch was in.
