Around Chicago. Not bad. Some people really like/need the super fast speeds but 50Mbps is fast enough for me, even the little 4K streaming I do. Cheap too, especially if added to a TV package, $20 discount for two service bundle, $10 paperless/auto payment discount plus there are additional bundle prices for certain TV and internet bundles. With discounts if added to a full price TV only package only about $10 for the internet (56 -20 -10 -16 for TV/internet bundle.) Usually not a Comcast fan but this is pretty good.

Hmm, I'm not on Comcast any more but my parents are and they have Performance Starter. Would be nice if their speed doubled from 25 to 50. But when I check Comcast's online ordering system here, it still shows that tier as being 25 Mbps down.

I agree that 50 Mbps down (which, given Comcast's over-provisioning, should usually be about 60) is fast enough for most households (at least those with only 1 or 2 persons), so long as it's reliable. I've been streaming a lot of the TV I watch, including stuff in 4K HDR, for a few years now with download speeds in the 50-60 Mbps range and haven't had any problems.

BTW, how are you arriving at only $10 for your internet (56 -20 -10 -16)? I get the $20 and $10 discounts for multi-product and paperless auto-pay, respectively, but what's the $16 discount?

I would guess that OP is looking at the end price for bundling Extra or Preferred TV with Performance Starter HSI. In either case, the upcharge (after discounts) for the TV/HSI two-service bundle is just $10 over the stand-alone TV service.
