Cold Case 9/23/2007 (S05E01) "Thrill Kill"

I can't believe this is the fifth year of Cold Case; it seems not so long ago that it was just starting out.

Beyond the box-drop incident up front, I can;t say I see any sign of Lilly having a problem because of the shooting to warrant Stillman's harsh attitude about her seeing a shrink. Yeah, yeah... department policy and all, but I guess I'd still expect to see her having troubles if he's gonna be going off the deep end every 2 minutes on the subject. It's like the writers forgot to give us his motivation for reacting like that.

She also had to leave the interview room with Daddy Dearest.
Her own PTSD moment is what gave her the inspiration to track down Mom and push her until she gave up the info about the murder weapon.
My recording missed the ending because of football.

Can someone spoilerize what happened in the last ten minutes or so? Mine cut out after they showed the homeless guy seeing the kids in the pool...
Just once, ONCE, I would like to see a cop show where the cop just goes to the shrink, puts in their time, and is done with it. Oh well.

Other than that, I enjoyed this episode. However, this one didn't impact me as much emotionally as others sometimes do since most of the flashbacks had nothing to do with the kid who was murdered (not that that's a bad thing, just an observation).
I wonder if we will see more of her PTSD throughout the season.

Why would IAD have an issue with the shooting in the interrogation room?
Was anyone else lost as to how they figured out it was the father who killed the boys?

Step 1: The bodies were moved to the pool, they weren't killed there (there was no mud on the tires of the bikes)
Step 2: Mom worked night shift, dad was home alone with the kid
Step 3: Kid's body was found by creepy homeless guy - kid was clutching his teddy bear like he was sleeping with it. (This indicated to Lilly that whoever killed the kid also loved him, as he "put him to sleep" with his favorite teddy bear).
Step 4: Dad has irrational fear of the dark (confirmed by Mom).
Step 5: Trigger irrational fear, Dad spills
