I remember seeing a tweet about them wrapping up shooting in December for season 3. If a bigger streaming service can buy it, it would probably be better for the series long term. Sucks that this might mean a longer wait.

I looked up Impulse, the other YouTube series I like, cancelled. :'(

A teaser for season 3 (like 2-3 seconds at the end of this trailer, it's not much)
If rumors are right I'll need to re-watch Karate Kid 2
It sounds like they'll bring back Tamlyn Tomita.

I really hope it doesn't revolve around f'n Daniel. What made the show enjoyable was the Cobra Kai characters.

I think the first few episodes of S3 will have guest appearances that will change the way both Johnny and Daniel see thing. When we left off Johnny had given up, got rid of his phone/car/dojo, everything because his heart was truly broken. I think when he tells Kreese after losing the dojo that "this was a mistake" I think it was him caring about something again and he's going to revert back into the selfish version of himself. I think he'll somehow connect with Ali and she'll provide some light on why she liked Johnny to begin with and what drove her away, and why Daniel was different.
Daniel needs to see his preconceptions of Johnny and his version of cobra kai have exasperated the situation and he needs to own his share of the blame in all that has happened. I have a feeling after the major brawl and his marriage being rocky the LaRusso's take a family vacation to Japan and he runs into his former nemesis from Karate Kid 2, and he knows something that will change the way Daniel is seeing things, like maybe the origins of their Karate, or Mr. Miyagi's past, something that will turn the black and white history Daniel is sure of and make it more gray.

hehe... it seems like they intentionally excluded Ali early right away as a creative choice to focus the show on Johny and Daniel with out having that as being a part of the story. and really, I did think it was a good solid creative decision. In the real world, people really do move on past high school sweethearts/crushes/relationships and never ever look back. But now that the show became pretty popular, it's hard to resist bringing her into the mix.
