So is everybody cooling off of the show? There hasn't been an episode thread in awhile.

I'm still quite entertained by it! There are some really goofy parts (Morgan's hypnotism was dumb) but overall it's still entertaining.

Bo Derek as a spy was quite funny, but it was kind of a "reset" episode again. All the plot points were solved and then all of a sudden.....oops....Morgan happened to do something stupid while he was the intersect and there's a new plot.

I like Lester a lot more when he's sober but still could do without both of these guys.

Now with the intersect in Sarah, I'm looking forward to seeing how things all get wrapped up.

I am sorry to say it, but yes, I have cooled off a lot. I still enjoy the show very much, but it is just not my super priority show to watch. I think the friday night switch hurt it for me. I know I have it on TiVo, I know I can watch it anytime, so I watch other stuff instead.
Still a must watch for me, even sometimes on Friday nights.

Enjoyed this episode. Funny. Only a few more to go and then no more must see TV for me. Oh well.

Sarah with the intersect? I did not see that one coming. I knew someone would get it, but I was thinking how hilarious it would be if it was Jeff or Lester.
It's still fun, but I guess I'm still a fan of Chuck having the intersect. This passing around from member to member is just not that funny.

I did like the Lester scenes this week though.

Yeah, the show is always best with Chuck having the intersect.
enjoy it, but also will enjoy that it will be done soon.
Yes, I think Chuck and the Intersect was the best.
I am not a fan of the direction this season and will not miss the show when it is gone at this point.

I was really afraid Jeffster was going to get the Intersect, but instead Sarah gets it, and then proceeds to do a bunch of stuff she has done before without it.
Guys, I think Sarah knows Kung Fu!

Wait, didn't she already know martial arts?
It will be SO exciting to see what happens when a superspy becomes...

...a SUPERSPY!!!
I'm burning off the episodes just to see the ending.

Subway, anyone?
Speaking of Subway, Hawaii Five-O also have a massive Subway plug this week.
I still enjoy the show but it's almost as if the writers just gave up this year... "We have this final season commitment no matter what we do, so let's just do whatever"... It was always an escapism-laden geek fest, but in the other seasons the story at least made some kind of logical sense. The episodes were tighter, the villians were slightly cartoony but usually had some kind of point, Chuck struggled with being the intersect, etc... there were stakes.

This season it seems like there's just a bunch of stuff happening with no real consequences... they took the "fun escapism" thing too far to where there's no sense of suspense, which the earlier seasons had. Plus things within each episode are stupid... Beckman allowed Chuck to hand over the world-crushing supervirus to save Ellie and that was dumb enough, but then Chuck saying that Jeff and Lester can go up against the CIA's technical team any day of the week, I threw up on my TV. I'm not saying the show has to be perfect, but the way they're writing it it's like they don't even care about their own story.

Now the intersect glasses... Sarah putting them on was an interesting twist, but the set up was stupid. Intersect glasses magically resurfacing? And then Chuck gets kidnapped and Sarah and Casey walk into a trap that anyone could see coming, yet these incredible spies are caught off guard, and their only way out is for her to put on what she knows are rigged, brain-melting intersect glasses. It's like they wanted to end with the "shock" of her putting the glasses on, and they didn't care how they got there.

Listen, I get it, it's the least season, the whole thing was a gift, etc. Fine. But why is the writing so bad? You have the episode order, give the fans something good, not characters meanderings through episodes just so you can hit specific plot points.

I'm looking forward to Sarah having the Intersect. She goes to superhero status with the Intersect.

I'm not so sure about that...I think a lot of the charm of the show is that it was never really going anywhere. "A geek's a spy; he has an awesome spy sorta-girlfriend; his geek friends and co-workers have to be kept in the dark; he has adventures."

I think when the show has faltered is when they've tried to give it a specific destination, and they've been doing that big-time this season, which takes it away from what it does really well (aimless geek-spy adventures).

So it's not that they've given up; it's that they've tricked themselves into going someplace that doesn't work well with the fundamental concept of the show.

If I'm right, it means the show was doomed anyway, because we've all seen over and over what happens when a show that's based on a simple situation keeps going and going and going...it gets complacent and boring. Which Chuck was kinda headed towards anyway. It's just too bad that when they decided to give it a big send-off, they dropped the ball.
Personally I think the idea of Sarah having the Intersect is interesting precisely because it can't last because the show is almost done.

Sarah having the intersect made my mind wander to what types of things she could use those superpowers for? :D
So the season may end with Baby Awesome getting the Intersect?
I've watched exactly one episode of Chuck this year. I just don't feel the need to watch it, yet I haven't deleted the season pass either. Maybe it will just be a Saturday/Sunday evening marathon to finish out the series with a bang for us. I honestly don't feel like I'm missing anything from reading the Chuck threads.

Since I'm familiar with the fast-food commercial disclaimer "prices may be higher in Hawaii and Alaska," are they plugging the six-dollar footlong?
