My local goodwill has a stack of tivo's. Is here any way/place that I can punch those service Codes in to see if they are lifetime?

Currently they are $30, but should be going to half off in a couple of days

Ah, I love thrift stores. Got my Series 1 box from my local Salvation Army store for a mere $32, and was pleasantly surprised to discover it had lifetime.

Yeah, the easiest way to find out about it would be to call Tivo and give them the service codes. You can do email, but by the time they get back to you, the boxes might be gone (it's been my experience that items like that don't last too long in thrift stores).
