I saw this today setting up some cable boxes for a relative. They were issued 3ea Motorola DCX3510-M boxes. I could not help but notice that they were each preloaded with an M-Card. So despite all the stories about CC being phased out and CS reps not even knowing what a CC is, Charter clearly still uses them in their own equipment.

My local Charter (Spectrum) seems to have no issue giving out cable cards. I turned in one last week and the person there told me it was the first one she has seen in over a year. Took her about 5 minutes to figure out how to turn in it. I had to make sure she didn't disable my current card.

Also, my local CC, still has POS 2 channel DVR's that only store 40 hours of HD. Can't believe they still have this trash. They did tell me they would give me 2 DVR's for free for the first year. Can't even give them away.....

Interesting. I am not privy to the deal that they gave my relative, but the DCX3510-M pictured above looks similarly outdated. Circa 2011, they have 2 tuners with a 500 gb drive for 50-60 hours of HD recording.
