Did anybody watch? I thought it was pretty good. It's nice to see a show that's not so serious about the CIA.

I got through about 15 minutes, then deleted the episode and my SP.

Not my cup of tea...
I saw it. I was disappointed; I was mostly irritated at most of the characters. However, I'll give it another viewing or two, to see if it hits its stride.
Saw it, and was disappointed as well. I was expecting much more comedy. Or, well, any comedy really. I mean, it wasn't exactly serious, but it wasn't funny at all IMO.

I feel the same way. (Well, maybe not "irritated", but I certainly didn't like them.)
It's tivo'd but haven't watched it yet.
Loved seeing "Mags" from justified. I hope we see her again. I would of lost it if she offered them something to drink.... :)
Then why are you reading the thread?
More important, why are you posting?
I stopped somewhere around 20-ish minutes into it. Not sure if I care enough to go back and finish. It was pretty bad, and I'm uncertain if I can be charitable and find some way to attribute it to the classic must-introduce-everyone pilot episode problem.

I get the impression they spent more time figuring out how to come up with "C(h)AOS" as an acronym than they did writing anything else in the script.

Sometimes I read the thread of a new show I've DVRed but haven't watched yet to see what others think. If the overwhelming opinion is that it stinks, or if someone posts overnight ratings that are so bad that it seems unlikely the show will continue, I won't bother...

I thought about watching this show because it has Federico from 6FU but didn't bother...the commercials made it look so bad!

[email protected] time coming up with what CHAOS could stand for than the plot! :D

You are 7 minutes smarter than me.:D I made it to 22 minutes, and thought, "This is stupid". Ep & SP deleted.

It may have happened 7 minutes sooner, but my reaction was identical! :p

I got about this far and shrugged and turned it off.
This show is a lot better and smarter than almost anyone here is giving credit. There was humor throughout this episode, but I guess everyone was waiting for a laugh track to tell them it was funny. Tricking Freddy, which seemed to happen a lot, to get captured so as to up the profile of the others that were captured, was hilarious. The back and forth banter and jibes between agents who are top in their respective fields was very good. Yes, it had much of the awkwardness of a pilot, but there was a lot more good stuff than that.

It's written and EP'd by Tom Spezialy, whose other writing and producing credits include, among others, Parker Louis Can't Lose, Weird Science, Ed, Dead like Me, The Reaper, and Human Target. (It also includes Desperate Housewives, but I won't hold that against him. At least he was writing when the show was still good.) This is an unusual show to be on CBS, but I liked it a lot, and am looking forward to seeing as many episodes as they get to make.

After not watching some shows that turned out to be great after one episode, I will give this one two episodes.
Damn. I wanted to catch this but forgot to set an SP. Guess it's off to the nets to see if it's downloadable or watchable free somewhere.
I'm starting to think there are less and less people willing to post in support of a show they did enjoy, because it's just so much easier to chime in when you didn't like them. Don't get me wrong, it's perfectly fine if you didn't enjoy it, but it's just too easy to simple state how many minutes into the pilot you made I until you cancelled your season pass. Actually putting together a more detailed critic or even just a list of reasons why you liked it takes more time.

I liked the pilot, but it did take a while until I had it 'figured out', as far as the characters and their alignments and motivations. If you only watched the first 15-20 minutes, you'd probably think the team that set up Freddy maliciously tried to get leverage over him for selfish reasons, probably because they wanted to keep their jobs. As it turns out n the end, their unorthodox methods actually end up getting the job done better than the people trying to shut them down.

Sometimes a show will make a little more sense if you watch the whole 42 minutes, despite your initial instincts based on half of a pilot. That's why they're longer than a sitcom: because have more plot to them than some wacky misunderstandings that end with drinks at the Regale Beagle.

Pilot is free from the iTunes store.
