Tivo gets its channel lineup from TVGuide and its always a cluster F, filled with errors: my Spectrum Southern Manhattan guide has numerous errors where LA channels have replaced several channels from FX [now a LA PBS] to ABC [now HBO west] and dropped channels in that just don't exist [luckily they are replicated and can still record what I need with the correct info]..Hi everyone! TiVo did that huge line up change, so why did they do it and what do I do to get it to line up again with Comcast/Xfinity? I've tried the line up set up and it didn't work.
I submitted the appropriate form to TiVo and while I've been waiting for a response over the last week, they fixed it. Why they had to mess with it at all, I'll never know. I don't get why they do because wouldn't everybody's channels be different depending on regions and sources of service? Oh well, it's fixed now.Tivo gets its channel lineup from TVGuide and its always a cluster F, filled with errors: my Spectrum Southern Manhattan guide has numerous errors where LA channels have replaced several channels from FX [now a LA PBS] to ABC [now HBO west] and dropped channels in that just don't exist [luckily they are replicated and can still record what I need with the correct info]..
Check to see if there are other Xfinity listings for your zipcode with correct listings [at tvguide.com/listings ] and will have to go thru a guided setup again like I will have to do to switch to Spectrum Northern Manhattan [which doesn't have these issues] if these annoying errors get worse
I must have gotten 4 different messages this week with channel lineup changes, all wrong
Wish Tivo would switch to Gracenote listings which are more accurate and used my Spectrum cable boxes
Do we know who supplies the guide data for Comcast's X1 set top boxes? To be precise, tvguide.com gets its data from TiVo, bought by Rovi, now part of Xperi. To see Gracenote data, check zap2it.com.
I don't. I always look for a copyright. Try asking here: Comcast XFINITY TV forum | DSLReports, ISP InformationDo we know who supplies the guide data for Comcast's X1 set top boxes?
