I am using my TivoHD exclusively with an OTA antenna. I only have a few channels set up in my "Channels you receive" list, all of them digitally tuned.
In this example, it is my goal to change the channel to 4-1, which is my local NBC channel digital (HD) station.
I press the number 4 on the remote. I wait. The TiVo changes the channel to 4 on the antenna, an analog station, not 4-1. This I understand -- I did not ask to change to 4-1, but 4, so this is expected behavior.
At this point, if I press channel up, it switches to 5-1. This leads me to believe that internally, 4 lies above 4-1 but below 5-1. However, if I repeat the behavior to get back to 4, and press channel down, I go to 2-1. This seems counterintuitive to me.
Does anyone know if there is a way to get to 4-1 in this situation WITHOUT:
1) Using the (-) key and entering it directly.
2) Opening the guide and selecting it.
3) Changing the channel twice.
I know it may seem sort of silly, but when this situation is repeated, the extra channel changes and guide display time really becomes a drag.
