Folks...I'm getting an error where the current live video stops and the Roamio gives me an error (words to the effect) saying that I can't watch live TV because the Roamio is busy doing something that requires all four tuners. This, while nothing is being recorded. I found a couple of old threads saying this might be a tuning adapter issue, and some info on Reddit talking about cable card issues. But all this was from 2015-17. Was there ever a resolution to this issue?

Same thing happened to me. Problem was TiVo trying to select a dead channel that TA would not deliver. Somehow TiVo tried one tuner after another until all were locked up. I realized there was only one TA channel I wanted so I deleted all TA channels in the TiVo except that one. If you have KMTTG this is easy: unplug the TA, step through "selected" channels on TiVo, and deselect any dead (TA) ones in KMTTG. Finally, save the updated KMTTG list back to TiVo. Much faster than writing them down

Going back over it, my issue appears to be somewhat different than other folks. I now remember that while the playback was stopping every minute or so for the error message, I went to Tivo Central and saw that NOTHING was recording, this at a time where I knew I had recordings scheduled. The red light on the front of the box was not on either. A system reboot (Roamio and TA) appears to have fixed th the problem for now. But if this reappears, I'm going to have to consider my options. I've had so many glitches with Tivo that it may be time to look at someone else's DVR.
