I'm able to transfer still, same speed as before, but now I get just audio, no video, just a black screen

Thanks but no IP address conflicts. We've actually re-started each TIVO twice. At last check I had a transfer going from 8AM - 1:30PM (5 1/2 hours has transferred 27 minutes of programming).chip_r said:Try restarting all 4 Tivos.
If the problems are still there, check the IP addresses of the Tivos and laptops to make sure you don't have any conflicts (i.e. the DHCP server in your router assigning the same IP as a box with a static IP). Most routers have the ability to list the IP addresses of all clients. Make sure all IP addresses are accounted for.
Similar situation here. I never received a message for updates on either Tivo but the version number was updated to 9.1.xxx. As of last night, one Tivo could see the other but not vice versa. On the way out this morning, I restarted one of the two boxes. I'll likely restart the other this evening.bjohn55 said:does it tell you when you get an update. I never got a message saying there was an update but last week my TiVos stopped showing up on the others now playing list. both have excellent connection to network but cant get them to talk to each other. Tried resetting, tried unplugging the usb adapter overnight. Still nothing.
I got a message this AM that the update was on my system.bjohn55 said:does it tell you when you get an update. Yes it tells you. The first screen showing is that you have received a service update. The notice will also be in the messages.bjohn55 said:does it tell you when you get an update. I called Tivo cause 1 or my 3 died, always says Almost There and they admit it was a probelm update. Their wait time was 20 mins yesterday, really longer than 40 and I gave up. Then I said NO to $149 deal. Then I find I cant download with my Desktop. Upgraded from 2.2 (2.3 didnt work on this PC) to 2.5, no change. It had become so slow before the 9.1. Any do it yourself repair sites? I can fix any XP hard drive, not all, but most. I know they use Linux but years ago I upgraded an HDR212 from 20 to 60 gigs with a free software app I got online. HELP!tvlandfanJG said:I have 4 Tivos as part of my wireless home network. All 4 received the "Fall 2007 Service Update" last night. Today I can't complete a transfer between any of the machines. The transfers start dead slow (5-6 minutes of programming take about 40 minutes). At some point the transfer stops and the portion transferred disappears. It doesn't go into Recently Deleted, the partial transfer is gone. Normally when a transfer ends prematurely Tivo retains the program.
I updated my wireless router about a week ago but I've only had this problem since the Service Update.
It doesn't seem to be a problem with my home network. Three laptops are working fine.
Help please.
