Hi, all. Whenever I try to schedule a recording on the iPhone app (away from my network) on HD (e.g., channel 706, Xfinity), it schedules the recording on the low def channel (e.g., channel 6). Anyone else experiencing this? Solution?

Remove the lower SD channels when you have the same in HD in a higher channel range. Uncheck in channels list or while in Live TV and while on the lower SD channel, press Select, then left until highlight on channel column, press Select, remove or favorite.

Thanks for that; however, I've done that. I have all the SD channels unchecked. It's weird because when I use the iPhone app at home in my own network, it works fine. It's only when I use the app outside the house and try to schedule an HD recording remotely. I go through the process normally, hit "Create Recording", and then when I check my "To Do List", it shows it replaced the HD channel with the SD alternative.

Just a suggestion. Do you have any HD only channels? While my HBO HD channel has a SD mirror, they have different call letters. I also have HDNet Movies that has no SD counterpart. It shouldn't care if they are valid channels but I would check them in my channel list. I wonder if it will pick a random channel or just ignore you. I have a whole tier of HD only channels, like AXS and Pets.

Been (& STILL) broken for ages that Rovi STEADFASTLY refuses to fix...rinse & repeat, rinse & repeat:
Different year same issue. Tivo recording wrong channel.

Since you're on Xfinity, instead of setting it on legacy 3-digit (HD) channel #'s, try setting it using the 4-digit MCLU #'s - when I do this, (most of the time at least  ) it ends up setting it on the 3-digit HD ch#...but at least you DO get it in HD!
