This was a new one for me...I wasn't able to delete a news show I watch everyday. Here what I tried:

Clear button from the My Shows screen

Delete button from the show (screen) itself

Re-start the show; skip to the end; choose delete at the end of the recording

Tried deleting from the TiVo app

Nothing worked. The show is still there with a solid blue circle.

I tried deleting other "Solid blue circle" shows...no problem.

Not really that worried. I am curious to see what happens when it records tonight....

I chose to power cycle, which I take it to mean unplug..let it sit for a minute...and then plug back in.
That did the trick. The show was already deleted when it rebooted.
Curious: Would a restart have accomplished the same thing?

Maybe.
I couldn't delete two CBS programs for who knows why. Restarting did nothing, unplugging fixed it. Though rare, sometimes it finds no internet connection and again restarting does not fix it when unplugging does.
But yes, I couldn't delete a timer and restarting did fix it. Generally speaking restarting is not the same as unplugging for some things as I can attest to with my Router and Satellite receiver....
Unplugging removes power from all components which is sometimes what is needed.
