Spent too much time yesterday trying to get obsolete equipment removed from my account ending in "issue escalated". Subsequently noticed names of devices reverted to names from months ago. Went in to device preferences and renamed devices/saved and got message can't change names "until privacy settings updated'. Went to privacy setting and "updated" and still can't rename devices. Loop is change name-save-can't change until update privacy settings-update privacy settings-repeat-repeat-repeat. This issue has also been "escalated" but I have little confidence problems will be fixed. Suggestions?

Have you tried updating the privacy setting and then waiting 24 hours before trying to update the names?

I “solved” the problem by gerrymandering my privacy settings and changing device names. I changed from opt out to opt in, changed names and then went back to opt out. Needless dickering with system but it seems to have worked
