I finally decided to order Verizon Fios online. Trying to make it easy on Verizon, and see if I get a small break for ordering online.

First problem, I don't need a cable box since I have the TIVO HD. It won't let me go past that screen without choosing one.

I finally chose the 4.99 STD box, and then when I get to the end, I see a 19.99 charge for activation, and another charge of 79.99 for hooking up to the computer.

I thought this was going to be $99 with free install. (For Internet, TV and PHONE) All 3-, not that I want to get rid of the wired analog line for phone.

And how do I order without getting a box, and just have them come with cablecards. Or one Multistream Card.

Or do I just have to order over the phone?

Thanks.

Verizon is currently running a $79/mo promo for FiOS Internet + TV in a number of markets. Install is free, but there is a $19.99/mo activation charge. This does require a two-year commitment, during which the price of your service cannot go up.

Your monthly bill with two CableCards would be about $89 after taxes. That includes 10/2 Internet (5/2 in some markets), 200+ digital channels, 20+ HD channels.

My advice is to call Verizon Fios 1-800 # and say you got an advertisement in the mail for FiOS TV + Internet for $79/mo total.
