So, we have a Bolt, several Minis and the ever dreaded Comcast. We are contemplating getting rid of cable subscription and thus the cable card. Although Tivo's not the best at streaming, will the Bolt and all of the Minis still be able to use the apps (Hulu, Netflix, Amazon....) without a cable card? Seems like a dumb question that the answer should be yes to but just wanted to check before I get further down the rabbit hole. Thank you for any guidance!

Yes. But to avoid nag messages you may wish to run Guided Setup and respond with "Install Later" when prompted.

Exit the Rabbit hole now. Sell the Bolt and Minis and get some Fire Sticks or Rokus. You'll be much better off.
Agreed but we have five minis.... We do have two apple TVs, just hoping NOT to waste our investment (though it is a "sunk cost") and sink some more funds into things that do the job better. Wondering if we can skate by for a bit. So over comcast....

If you have lifetime on the Bolt with the mini's you can get a fair amount for them. If no lifetime it makes no sense because you still have to pay Tivo. In this case the Mini's have value, the Bolt not very much, load it with shows and cancel service, sell the mini's.

Either way selling and getting more Roku's or whatever makes more sense.
