I have been having issues lately about my TiVo changing channels.

For example, if I am watching a show on channel 2 and I go through the guide and select channel 226, TiVo will tune to ch2 then ch22 then ch26. And between those switches, TiVo will ch up (will tune to ch3, then punch in ch22, then tune to ch4, etc).

I have a series 2 with the latest updates, and a serial connection to the digital box (TWC-Motorola).

Can anyone make this better?

You can. The option to change your infrared code is in the setup menu; try different ones until you find one that works.
