So my romio pro kicked the bucket (hdmi port died) and TiVo has replaced it to the new edge for me, so I went ahead to upgrade the Minis to the te4 and 3 out of 6 will not upgrade.
So the 3 upgraded just fine, with using the usual upgrade steps (changing the device to the new edge and getting the te4 upgrade option), the other three however will not give me that option and exhibit some weird behavior. Basically, when I chose the Edge to the connect to, instead of giving me the option to upgrade, it cycles the screens back and forth, then it goes into a black screen for 30 seconds or so and the displays a strange screen I’ve never seen before with a doggy chewing on a cord and a message “no internet connection” which is not true of course.
I can back out of that screen with a back button and the only option I have is set the mini back to the old romio, which I still on the network thankfully. Anytime I try to initiate an upgrade by choosing Edge, same issue happens. Resetting and starting over didn’t help, same issue.
I’m on hold with TiVo support now, but they’re useless as usual, so far...
