Cablecard and ESPN Gameplan

Does anyone out there have ESPN Gameplan working successfully with their S3 unit? Maybe even someone on FiOS.

I didn't even think about whether or not I would still be able to get the games on my Tivo HD with cablecards. I also saw some contradictory info on some other websites regarding this, so I thought I would ask.

The channel is off-air during the week, any way to test if it works?

I would suspect it's treated like PPV which would mean it will have CCI=0x03 and a 90 minute recording restriction on the Tivo even if you are able to get it via CableCard.

That would be REALLY lame.
You need to ask your provider.

What is the CCI value on the channel(s) in question?

0 x 00 but the channel is off the air right now.
Called the FSC and they said that the channels should work over the cablecards. Will be interesting to see if those channels can in fact be recorded.

I am receiving ESPN GamePlan on a couple of S3's. I can record the games but the guide does not show the scheduled games in advance. I have to hook up a Comcast box and use their guide to find out the advance schedule. Then I have to record by time. Kind of a pain in the butt but it works.
Worked great for me on Comcast least weekend - didn't try to record, so I can't help you there.

As far as advanced info, the most current schedule is always posted here.

My series 1 has always shown the correct games in the guide on game day. I wonder when this info is pushed out by the content provider.

I've seen that schedule but it does me no good if I want to set up recordings in advance -- no Comcast channel numbers. I'm out the door early on Saturday mornings so I can get back and watch the games in the afternoon/evening.
I have a similar issue with NHL center ice. When I switched to cable in the first place, I was assured that I would be able to watch the games with my S3. Now that It's time to order the package, I'm being told something else. I only want to watch the games - not necessarily record them. But I suspect I won't get a definitive answer until it's game time.

O well - most of the games I'll be watching in my office where I have a cable box anyway. At least I should be able to get the games there.

I'm watching the free preview of Center Ice right now on my TivoHD. Even though it's a free preview, I think I can assume that this is how it will function. When I look at the CCI Byte, it's 0x02. Recording works fine but as someone else mentioned, since the game data is not avail. in the guide, you have to record by time/channel. I wish there was a way to instruct the Tivo to pull guide data for certain channels from another source so I could produce my own schedule to record from.
