Building new case for Tivo

I am considering customizing a TiVo Bolt and taking the hardware from that odd shaped case and installing in into a small format pc style case. Goals are to provide easier access to internal hardware, more space for hard drive expansion and better cooling of unit.

I might also try into incorporate media NAS features into the Unit
htpc case - Google Shopping

A possible case idea Cooler Master HAF XB EVO - High Air Flow Test Bench and LAN Box Desktop Computer Case with ATX Newegg.com, it may be larger than I need.

I have a lot of past experience building Custom pc over the years.
I am curious if anyone here has thought about or attempted and also looking for any lessons learned.

I would appreciate any feedback
