Other than having a hard time getting back into the US, this would have been a perfect opportunity for Jessie to completely free himself from everything. Just finish the job on Gus and Mike.
Now how is Jessie going to learn Spanish?

I wonder how Jessie is going to feel about Walt still wanting him to kill Gus, especially now that he has had such an intense bonding experience with him. Both Gus and Mike now owe him their lives. And I'm sure Jessie likes feeling trusted and respected by them, especially after what happened between him and Walt.

I also wonder if anyone is going to find the recording of the manufacturing process, and try to replicate it.
"I speak English"

"Then you know what ********* means"
I'm surprised there was no antidote other than throwing up.

Skyler is dumb.

I don't think Jesse has to worry about Gus having him killed any more.

Bryan Cranston in his tighty-whities is not a sight I want to see but this show keeps making me see it.

Gus did take an antidote, one of two pills it looked like. But I guess he decided it was still dangerous enough that he would throw up as well.
I forgot about the pills.

I'm sure the "antidote" wasn't really a true antidote, but was simply something to slow the absorption or reduce the effects. As we saw, even with the pill and the vomiting, Gus is still in very bad shape.

How heartbreaking and eye-opening that must have been for Walt when he explains to Jr. why he doesn't want Jr. to remember him as weak, and Jr. says that he'd prefer to remember Walt that way, because that was at least real.

Skylar is totally off the reservation and as Saul said, that was a bad decision. But it was made exponentially worse when she told Ted she provided the money. That's not going to turn out well. The one thing about that storyline that I don't get is that Saul would agree to go through with Skylar's plan without first involving Walt. It's not remotely plausible that Saul would give away over $600k of Walt's money in a manner that he didn't agree with, without first at least mentioning the plan to Walt.
Skylar continues to annoy. Why didn't she just insist he pay off the IRS because HER signature was on the forms. She suffers from the same bad judgment as Walt. :(

If Jesse is smart he'll use the pill on Walt and be done with it.
I would think the fake, probably poorly documented, inheritance would cause all kinds of IRS problems.

Its from out of the country tho so it would be very hard to verify.

Even worse, they totally glossed over how they managed to convert $620K from dirty cash into clean money so quickly. Skylar already complained it was going to take a long time to launder that much through the car wash.
Walter/Walter Jr. was boring as hell. So is the IRS thing. Wasted time.

Skylar just made a huge mistake telling Ted. I can see lots of potential plots coming out of that.
  • Ted blackmailing Skylar
  • Ted and Skylar hooking back up and plotting against Walter
  • The IRS problems eventually catching up with Ted and he makes a deal to escape prison by ratting out the Whites.
  • Ted wanting in on the action and joins Saul in a spinoff show where the "criminal" lawyer and "criminal" accountant help a bad guy every week with their problems.
I can't see Ted just paying back the IRS, and quietly going away. I think the only way they can keep Ted quiet is to kill him.

I am neither a lawyer nor an accountant, but, even on an international inheritance, wouldn't there be some manner of estate tax involved, so that Skylar would have had to have given Ted 35% or so above and beyond the $600k he actually owed?

They wouldn't have to launder it through the car wash in this instance. The fact that it's coming from his deceased great aunt in Luxembourg is the laundering.

The estate pays whatever tax is due prior to distributions. The recipient doesn't typically owe anything. Although I'm not sure how it works when the inheritance is from an international source.

You misunderstand. The difficulty is getting the cash under the house into some semi-legitimate bank in Luxembourg. If that were easy, then there would be no need for the car wash. Just have Saul get the Whites a $9M (or whatever) inheritance from a long lost Aunt in Luxembourg.

No, I didn't misunderstand. Skylar can give the cash to Saul and he deposits it in his account and then issues a check to Ted. There's no reason the check has to come from Luxembourg because Saul doesn't expect that Ted will ever question the source.

It's not the same for the White's money, because they have an ongoing stream of money rather than a one time transaction. They can't be getting a new inheritance every month, so they have to figure out a way to make it appear legit.

I was wondering when they were going to get Jessie some SPF! :D:p

That scene with Walt & Walt Jr when Walt was talking about his dad made me cry-people who say it's a waste of time-well, they are probably the same ones who FF'ed through the therapy sessions on The Sopranos
