hello! I have been on hold with Tivo for over an hour, no email??? Crazy!!!

I recently purchased a Tivo HD DVR for my parents for their bdays. i ordered it under my login because when i checked out it asked for my login. I realized later that I probably should have done this as a gift subscription but I really didnt think of it. Is it now impossible for my parents to use this DVR (they live in a different house)? I am still going to pay the monthly fee for them, but I read on tivo's site you cannot "transfer" ownership. Am i screwed? will they be able to use it? I just purchased it Sept 2nd.

thank you!

Just give it to them as their (most likely) not going to use MRV or on-line-scheduling, or call TiVo again and ask them what to do.
Ok thank you!!
It will work just fine.

Just let Tivo know the circustances. Many people use Tivo's in more than One House on the same account.

As long as you are paying the Monthly Fee for it, Tivo would not really care.
