Reminds me a LOT of City Hall with Al Pacino.

Greg
I'll give it a shot. It's not like Starz currently has anything else noteworthy happening.
Saw it. I liked the first episode but I had a hard time getting a fix on Grammer's character. Still I'll definitely keep watching.
Note to all the would be new drama shows, this is how it's done.
I thought it was very interesting. Definitely going to watch. Supposedly the 2nd seasn was already given the green light.

Can someone explain the ear thing?

It's not that complicated. The young dude got out of line by not checking before making the grandstand play in front fo the cameras and they made him pay. Ummm... you did notice that he had bandages on his head when he presented the box (with his own ears in it) to the mayor?

The Mexican alderman got his ears pulled so that may have been inspiration. And we saw the kid going "oh, no" when the goons took him into the woods "to find the ball."
There's a thread here for Episode One, so you can talk without spoilers.

I knew it was his ears, just not clear as to why.
I was lost on the ears thing too. Seemed way over the top to me, way unbelievable.
How can they *not* put the word "pilot" in the show description of a brand new show?

I don't understand the ears thing but this one is easy: They didn't use the word "pilot" because this wasn't a pilot. This was just episode one of a series already approved.
Fair enough. What about "premiere"?
This is how I catch first episodes of series on my Tivo.
I am one of those weirdos where if I don't see the opening credits, I can not enjoy the movie. If I don't see the first ep of a series, I never really get into it.

You should be able to get it on Demand if you get Starz (not on a TiVo) and you can be sure they'll have some mini-marathons of the previous episodes.

On what day are the new episodes of Boss supposed to premiere?

The second episode isn't in my guide for the whole week.

Found my own answer. Fridays.

I was thinking that the first episode premiered earlier in the week.
