This is going to be a good one!

The Bensenville/St. John's cemetery at O'Hare thing is 100% real life AFAIK. Chicago did get to take it over but it took many years of lawsuits. They didn't dig up any artifacts that anybody knew about. Most of those would be near water and O'Hare ain't.

I liked the graphics morphing into the "old time" (a whole 60 or so years ago!) Chicago Skyline.

Kelsey Grammer is doing a good job in Duh Boss role.

The politics and power rings a lot more true than it did in "The Chicago Code.

I'm surprised that Chicago cooperated with letting them film in City Hall and such, but there's a new real boss in town lately.

Thought Grammar was good but the rest of the show was not. I'll watch one more. Maybe.
Wow. Good stuff. I didn't know that Kelsey was good at drama!

I agree---particularly considering how they're (accurately) portraying all politicians as corrupt (especially the Chicago mayor)
I have the feeling that the doctor is not going to schedule any more appointments.
The "degenerative disease" is a direct lift from "The West Wing."

The "making of" said they're doing "King Lear" in a modern setting.

The writing is quite good, but not Aaron Zorkin level dialog.

I dunno from King Lear, but "Listen" is a good title.

Talk about "Lend me your ears!"

Sometimes I'm surprised by what people will allow. Treme had several scenes filmed in City Hall, portraying a corrupt city councilman... who even played himself.
Finally got around to watching this. Grammar is very good. The writers should be kicked in the butt for allowing a number of totally ridiculous, totally unbelievable scenes, though. Everything to do with ears was just plain stupid.
