Not sure what is going on but my Bolt is doing the same thing. Also the TiVo app on my iPad is off with all the times and information. Just a guess but it could be Tivo servers...
Do you happen to know what time your Bolt rebooted on Saturday night, if you were recording anything, by looking at the time your recording cut off?Hello all,
Wondering what might be causing my problem. My Bolt (4-tuner, 1TB, black) in my master bedroom rebooted Saturday night (I only noticed because all the tuners were on channel 1 in the morning). Since then, I've had the following happen:
-No discovery bar (just empty blue space)
-Slow opening of folders in My Shows (2-4 seconds to populate shows inside a folder, even folders with only 2-3 items in them)
-Slow guide performance - 2-3 second delay from opening Guide to seeing data populate, 2 second delay when paging up or down until data fills in.
-BSC when deleting folders with multiple programs in it.
The date on the bottom is July 2019. I've had it since around January, it was a replacement for a previous bad Bolt (noisy fan). Bone stock. TE3. ODT hovers between 65-69 depending on what I'm doing (highest result when transferring, lowest after it sat alone for a few minutes). It's been on a UPS since the beginning (APC BE600M1).
However, to throw a monkey wrench in it: transfer performance and data load (service connection) performance is unaffected - transfers still hop along at 200Mb/s and loading guide data takes no longer than it normally would.
Any ideas what could be causing the issue (software wise) before I throw up my hands and send it back to TiVo on a warranty request? Normally I'd do that out of the gate, but I've heard they're basically out of Bolts and would probably foist an Edge on me.
Could've been - I left it unplugged all night (no overnight recordings) last night and when I started it back up this morning it was normal again. Not sure what is going on but my Bolt is doing the same thing. I don't know exactly when, sorry. I didn't have anything set to record overnight - and I rebooted again before I noted the OOB time.Do you happen to know what time your Bolt rebooted on Saturday night, if you were recording anything, by looking at the time your recording cut off?
My Bolt rebooted on Saturday night, despite not having it hooked up to the network. (Because sometimes, when automatically connecting to the network like Bolt does every 24-48 hours, it reboots on its own to update)
recommend you get a laptop cooler or usb powered fan(s) to try to cool down the Bolt, which have poor heat dissemination.ODT hovers between 65-69 depending on what I'm doing (highest result when transferring, lowest after it sat alone for a few minutes).
I haven't bothered because it's been low in the past - always between 50-55.recommend you get a laptop cooler or usb powered fan(s) to try to cool down the Bolt, which have poor heat dissemination.
