Bolt+ HDD die, Tivo support no help

Sorry for the little rant in advance.


I have 2 Tivo bolts. 1st is my main Tivo, a Bolt+ with 6 tuners and 3TB and 2nd regular Bolt with 4 tuners and 1TB given to me as a beta tester. Like many of you, my Bolt+ has the 4 flashing lights, HDD gone. currently don't use my second Bolt. I called consumer service to see if I can get a replacement Bolt+ since the hdd is dead. They claim they don’t see the Bolt+ on my account, only the regular Bolt. I gave the representative my TSN for Bolt+. This number is listed on my account and on the bottom of the device. They “lookup” the device and state they will give me a replacement for a fee. I agree, right before I get off the phone I look at my e-mail and they sending a replacement for the wrong Tivo. I explain again the issue, give my TSN of the Bolt+ and even an the order# when I purchased the unit from Tivo directly 2 years ago. They still said the Bolt+ is not on my account:mad: . I told them to cancel the replacement. I’m sorry but Tivo support is just bad. Both Tivo's have Lifetime (All in service plan). What puzzle me is I don't understand why they don't see the Bolt+ on their end.

You got a bad CSR. Call back and get another one.
They still said the Bolt+ is not on my account:mad: . I told them to cancel the replacement. I'm sorry but Tivo support is just bad. Both Tivo's have Lifetime (All in service plan). What puzzle me is I don't understand why they don't see the Bolt+ on their end.
You can see both TiVo's when you log into your account on TiVo.com with the correct TSNs? If so take a screenshot and send it to them (has your email address changed?).

Yes, I have the same email account that is attached to my Tivo's. Here is a screenshot:
I have 2 Bolt active and 1 mini. When I email Tivo, there is no where upload files to email.I'm going around in circles.

You have Twitter or Facebook account?

Tivo has support on those and you can upload files.

Thank you for the tip. I did use twitter yesterday but they couldn't fix the issue over Twitter:confused:. Today I used the chat on the Tivo website to get the issue somewhat fix. They couldn't see Bolt+ on their end but was they were was able to re-added:confused:. I work on getting a replacement for my Bolt+ in the next few days.

It's nice to see (an ultimately) responsive TiVo. :up:
Just put a new hard drive in it. It will just reformat it to 3 TB.
