I am a newbie here but have been reading on the internet and can’t find the answer to my question. Hope you guys can help.
I have a Premiere (with an M Card) that is about to die and I want to take this opportunity to upgrade to a bolt so I can use the Mini’s on other TV’S. I already have a MoCa network. I am not trying to cut the cable, it is the best viewing option for me.
The TCD849500 seems to be what I need but I am confused about a statement on the features chart. Under compatible signal sources it states “can only support antenna” whereas an HCD849300 states “can only support digital cable” and an HCD8495000 states “can support digital cable or antenna”.
All I want is to do is transfer my existing cable card to the Bolt and get all my cable stations. Will the HCD849500 do this.

Do the compatible signal source only apply if there is no active TiVo service contract?
I.e. the TCD849500 would record from an over the air antenna even if there was no TiVo contract?

I only buy lifetime but I don't see how a TIVO would record without valid service.
