I saw about of a minute of it. That was enough. It's hard to take the "Miller High Life Guy" seriously as a doctor.
And I thought that diagnosis was a pretty clear nod to the "never lupus" meme.It's never lupus. Everyone knows that.
Season pass cancelled.
Yeah, I did as well, given that this series lifts liberally from House. I mean, she even had the "House moment," that moment that comes 9 minutes before the end of the episode where a completely unrelated conversation gives him/her the answer they need to crack the case.And I thought that diagnosis was a pretty clear nod to the "never lupus" meme.
Standard and Practices.I've recorded it but haven't watched it yet, but I have one question.
Why can't they show a body? Is this part of the storyline or something?
They could always go with the NCIS "shine a really bright light on the naughty bits so you can't make out any details" approach.I didn't notice the sheet thing, but I think that would be a pretty silly reason for it to be on there. Like the other poster mentioned, they show bodies all the time on other crime shows without sheets.
Same here. We get a quick three episode blast to determine whether it's SP-worthy or not.I just watched it and will give it another shot. Probably two, as there is a new episode Sunday and on Tuesday. I don't have anything else in that time slot so I might as well record something.
Agree 100%. I like Delaney, but seeing an ME character grilling suspects (and leading detectives around in the field) just pushes the BS meter into overload. So much that it takes me out of the moment time and again. Plus, her overconfidence & chutzpah factor was a little heavy (ya' think!), pushing her character slightly to the unbearable side. But this was a pilot, so that can change.I'm giving it a little more time. This was actually a true pilot episode, as opposed to a first episode, so we'll see once we get into the series if they make any changes.
It's not bad. I think the biggest problems I have, and they're pretty glaring:
<snip>
The biggest part that works is Delaney, who is good here as always.
But isn't the backstory that she was a neurosurgeon who can't practice anymore due to a car accident that left her with shaky hands? That's not a profession known for its shrinking violets.Plus, her overconfidence & chutzpah factor was a little heavy (ya' think!)

I thought it was an ok pilot, but it was really unrealistic that these medical examiners were tagging along on the investigations. It's bad enough that on the CSI's, they are always questioning suspects and chasing down criminals, but she is not even a cop!![]()
Sheesh! I guess all y'all are too young to remember Quincy, M.E.2) As was made crystal clear to Delaney's character: she is not a cop, she is an M.E. They do not go out and start questioning people at a crime scene and investigating leads, at least as far as I know. [...] completely ridiculously unbelievable.
Not me! That was one of my fav shows back in the day.Sheesh! I guess all y'all are too young to remember Quincy, M.E.![]()
