Blank screen bug on 14.8c

After a couple of days using 14.8c (running HD UI) I ran into a bug (never saw it before). After highlighting a program in my shows and pressing play, the screen goes blank and the unit it unresponsive to remote or iPad. Requires a reboot...

Same thing happened to me the other day. Black screen for all live tv and my recordings. Reboot fixed it. Hadn't happened since.
I've had the same problem. It happens most often to me when selecting a Netflix program. It looks like the program is going to start, but the screen goes black and the progress bar is stuck at zero. I can't fast forward either. Sometimes when I exit Netflix when this happens my "Live TV" is also just a black screen. Needless to say I have to reboot. Also 14.8c seems to have another bug where my slide remote is much slower.
Happened to me last night after leaving Netflix. The screen went black and the TiVo finally rebooted itself. This needs to be fixed ASAP! Roll us back!
Just happened to me now. I was looking through the menus and now all channels are blank just a blank screen. I also get every once in a while that I have no internet connection on the top of screen even though I do when I do the internet test. Started happening since I got the new update.
This happened to a second unit. This time after viewing a video it went black and the rebooted itself. This is getting quite annoying.
Just had my first problem with 14.c After i deleted a show screen stayed blue with Live TV only in upper right corner. Had to pull plug and reboot.
Having problems internet connection .Its on and off when i hit the tivo. I dont know when it will come on or what. Does any one know what going on??

after the reboot the tivo thinks the internet is gone.
I ran the test connection and of course there is nothing wrong with the internet.

14.8c is a really poor release. I am not sure I can take this for very much longer.......
Same Black Screen issue requiring a reboot. Mine has happened twice now when watching a recorded show, it will finish and I have to reboot to get channels again. No problem with the internet missing. That still works even when the channels are gone.
After more than a month without this issue. It is back again...today.
A blank screen (black screen) with no response other than to flash the yellow led when I press remote commands.
I've seen this on my Premieres as well. Instead of reboot, my solution was: unplug HDMI, turn TV off, replug HDMI, turn TV back on. Hope that helps.

(I got tivo unstuck once by using the ipad app, but I haven't tried that trick on this bug)

Happened again, iPad app just spins ...
After about 10 minutes TiVo rebooted.....
This is supposed to be fixed in 14.9.
This issue has now happened to me twice. I have been one of the few Premiere owners without a lot to b*tch about, but this one is starting to piss me off. I don't even use netflix, or anything else on my tivo, beyond recording shows. I use the SD menus. This is a reliability issue with the most basic functionality of the tivo.

Any idea when 14.9 is going to be rolled out, dare I ask?
