Spike TV is bringing back Blade: The Series for a two-day marathon in October.

The first 10 episodes will be shown on Friday, Oct. 19 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. (ET/PT), with Episodes 11-13 scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20 from 9 a.m.-noon.

Here's how Spike TV describes the event:

"Immortal warrior Blade continues his fight against a shadowy underworld of vampires who are threatening total domination of mankind. Blade's latest pursuits take the half-vampire to his hometown of Detroit where he meets Krista, a recently dispatched U.S. military combat medic who is investigating her brother's suspicious murder. As Krista is pulled into the underworld, she teams up with Blade and his partner Shen to infiltrate the vampires from the inside and out. However, Blade has to keep strict tabs on Krista, who could easily succumb to the dark forces of the underworld she now inhabits."

Blade: House of Chthon, an uncensored release of the show's pilot movie, will be available on DVD from New Line Home Entertainment on Sept. 18.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I liked this series. When I read the headline, I also thought there were new episodes. :(
I just finished the entire series on HDNet, mmmm Krista in HD, yummy!
And if anyone reading this thread is wondering, yes, this series is worth watching. It starts a little slow, but gets better as the story progresses. A lot better. A lot of people stopped watching the first time around, and that was a big mistake.
I'm glad. I missed the last episode. The recording ended early for some reason and I didn't get to see the end.

Now THIS I would like to see....however, I'd rather have it part of the ENTIRE series on DVD. Seems a waste to have it all by its lonesome on a DVD.
I just finished the final episode from HDNet last night. I am so glad I gave the show a chance, it looked great in HD (except for a few special effects). It does start slow but really gets good as it moves along.

I think the biggest reason it wasn't a bigger success is due to the fact it was originally on Spike TV. I just figured it would be lame.
I still miss Blade: The Series. Like others, my hopes were just raised and dashed by the title of this thread. Ah, well. At least I still see Krista around in occasional Mercury commercials

According to Jill Wagner's MySpace, she'll be appearing on a couple of episodes of Stargate Atlantis this season.

That might help those needing a Jill Wagner fix.
Count me in as someone who thought this meant there would be new episodes. Shame on you for teasing like that!
