Whoa! I didn't expect things to start as they did since there was ambiguity at the end of the last episode in the personnel area.

Type-o corrected, thanks.
I am enjoying this episode, still a little disjointed, but seems to be settling in nicely.

I think less disjointed is just about right as the description. The pilot showed signs of heavy tinkering which left things less smooth than I would have expected from a pilot episode. This episode did seem more smooth and flowed better (and was easier to watch for me).
I really did not get the impression the boyfriend was dying at the end of the pilot episode. I think they decided to lose the boyfriend when they wanted to add Isaiah Washington as her new "supervisor."

I am not too sure about this show yet-- the sound effects and the (cartoon-y) fast running up the stairs just don't seem right.
Looks like they deep six'd the deaf sister storyline.

Welcome to last week's thread. :D

But yeah, they got rid of that in the Pilot episode that aired last week.
I liked that BSG was on the TV.
Molly Price looks alot better than she did on Third Watch.

That was an LOL moment for me.

This episode was much better than last week's. Maybe this has promise?

I only watched the pre-air pilot. Guess they actually did some changes, oh well. :D
Does anyone know what the song is from the promo for this episode that they have been playing all week.
This is the promo

I have searched everywhere for it and can't find out.
Did they do some other tinkering? The previews from last week were the same as the previews for next week's show. In other words, are we already going out of order? That would be really weird since this episode started off with the funeral.

And yes, SHOCKER that the BF is already ...gone!!!

I was surprised to see tonight's episode was directed by long time actor Tim Matheson. ;)

I like the sound effects! I find it quite nostalgic to have them (even though they are not the same). Keep them coming. In fact, turn them up!

I was wondering if the attempted suicide of the lady was also faked for Jamie's "benefit."

"We're with the Dept. of Agriculture" was definitely a good recurring line. ;)

"That was my little sister; she hates me" spoken while being attacked by the bad guys. Also quite funny.

Anyone else get the feeling that they have toned down Miguel Ferrer's character as the big boss? He seems a lot less of an a**hole now.

Although they've shot quite a few episodes already (and producer Glen Morgan has already left the show), I would give them a bit of advice. SLOW DOWN. I still feel a bit like I'm watching something that has been heavily edited. Not nearly as bad as last week....but still the BF's funeral. That was actually almost laughable that he's gone.

They clearly had a lot of character & background story to develop, so they kept the 'crisis of the week' short, but a bunch of guys in army fatigues are caught hours before they're about to attack 15 cities with tanker trucks full of biological agents, and they don't spend any time explaining who they were?

Is this the kind of flimsy plot lines we can expect from the show?
That was quite a turnaround in attitude from "I'll bury whoever you send after me" to "I'm in, I want to give this saving-the-world thing a try" ... they seem to be re-tooling the concept a bit.
I thought this was Bad, bad, bad. Smallville bad. Cheesy acting, too much plot crammed into 40 minutes.

I can suspend my disbelief of the central character in these type of shows (i.e. ok, so she's bionic) but I need the other characters to behave in a rational way for me to enjoy the show. Like on Buffy. Sure there were vampires and demons, etc....but Buffy's mom always seemed to act like a normal mom would.

I doubt very much that this was a "crisis of the week," and that we've seen the last of those guys.

I'm thinking more "Big Bad."
Could be a great show if the Bionic Woman could ACT! They should have cast Starbuck in the lead.
I think Michelle Ryan's American accent is flawless! :)
