Wow... I really thought Frenchie the Farmer would do well going into the first couple of episodes, but his game is really falling apart... Victim of playing too hard too early... Everything that could go wrong in his game...HAS gone wrong... I don't see him lasting too long (but heck, I have been wrong before)...

It's always so funny to me when they have the Diary Room interviews with the HOH, and they plead "please don't let x and y be picked for the POV"... And blam! X and Y get picked...

I really liked the challenge where they measured the houseguests ability to stay silent while searching for stuff in that room... That was a fun one to watch... I don't think they should be allowed to win the ability to save everyone on their team... It should be saving zero, 1 or 2 people... Create the drama and always be in a position of leaving someone out...

Let's see how these personalities work out this year... Not really "feeling it" for anyone yet...

Frenchie, Frenchie, Frenchie....... I had high hopes for you.
Sorry but you got deals coming out both ends..... and the HOUSE knows all !
One thing that is interesting..... the people with color, look to becoming an alliance. That is raciest.... but very smart!

I am liking the season so far.

Frenchie has had one of the worst starting HoH's ever. I think it all stems from playing too hard too fast, with the best of intentions. He guaranteed the first 3 guys in his entry group safety. Then all the women because he didn't want to send one out to start with. Afterwards, he discovered there would be another competition with MORE people safe and his potential nominations just kept dwindling. He really should have let things play out a little more before committing.

I'm also liking the subtle ways the teams are playing out because the teams force some new dynamics, like telling teammates they are on somebody's radar because they want to protect their teammates. And voting probably will go along team lines, so the teams without nominees will be swing votes with more potential power.

Yeah... I like the "forced" alliances of the four teams...with the dynamic of the organic alliances...

It was interesting when Frenchie told Brent that he was targeting Derek X as a backdoor...and told him not to say anything to Derek X... But because they were on the same team, Brent immediately let Derek X know...

Frenchie's game just seems like such a mess... Wants to target Meat Heads... No, wait...maybe he wants to target showmances... No wait, maybe we'll go back to targeting safe non-threatening houseguests... Wait...a Meat Head is now available again... Let's go for the Meat Head...

Success!!! o_O

Anyone who plays too hard, too fast, and overthinks everything is not long for the game. You just put a target on your back.

I like the team dynamic because it is a change that changes the structure of the game, without changing the game too much. So you have to determine if your loyalty is to your team, or to others that you are living with, where you might have a side deal. I think that's part of why Frenchie struggled so much to figure this out. That's why I'd lay low for a couple of days, then see who you might mesh with, or, glom on to what feels like a primary alliance which might keep you safe for awhile. But don't play your cards too quickly.

Frenchie is a self-proclaimed fanboy and BB strategist...

Yet he's pretty made every mistake in the book in his first HoH... Even without knowing his houseguests, he's made some pretty rookie errors...
Agreed. And he tried to play EVERY strategy he's ever seen in the first week. Promise strong players safety, check. Try and form a large alliance, check. Try and form an all-girl alliance, check (uggh!). He might be a fan boy, but sometimes these fanboys over think everything.

isn't it odd how someone with a following on social media can be exposed as being such an amateur when it comes time for actually putting a strategy into practice?

Nah, Frenchie is going to Frenchie. The twist made things more entertaining, but he was still going to have a horrible HOH.
